2. Safety
WARNING!
Please ensure that the packaging is kept out of the reach of children! Risk of
suffocation!
Before use, read the manual and safety information carefully. The supplier is not responsible
for failure to follow the safety information on the use and handling of the product or
damage to property or personal injury.
Always observe the following precautions when using 'the Glass Kettle', hereinafter referred
to as 'the product'.
2.1 General
•
If this is your first time using the product, it is important to read the manual and
instructions carefully.
•
If the product is malfunctioning, dropped or damaged, do not use the product and
consult our customer service.
•
Before each use, check the parts and accessories for any damage or wear (cracks/
breakage) that may adversely affect performance and, if so, replace them with original or
manufacturer-recommended parts and accessories.
•
Do not use accessories not offered by the supplier. They may pose a danger to the user
and damage the product.
•
Use the product only for the purposes indicated in this manual.
•
Do not disassemble, repair or restore the product. Doing so may cause damage to the
product. For your own safety, these parts should only be replaced by authorized service
personnel. Always send the product to a service center for repairs to prevent damage
and personal injury.
•
Be aware of the risks and consequences associated with improper use of the product.
Misuse of the product may result in personal injury and damage to the product.
•
Before first use, remove all packaging material and any stickers.
•
The outside of the product may become hot when the product is in use. So be alert
when touching the outside!
•
Use only cold tap water. NEVER use carbonated water.
•
Caution: the water inside the product is hot! Be careful when pouring.
•
Make sure there is enough space around the product for heat to escape and for
adequate ventilation.
•
The lid of the product must be closed carefully during use. If the lid does not close
properly, boiling water may spill over the edge.
•
Use only the base provided with the product and never remove the product from the
base when it is on. Turn the product off before removing it from the base.
