Electricity and heat
Prior to use, check that the mains voltage is the same as the mains voltage stated on the name plate of the

device.
Make sure your hands are dry before touching the device, power cord or plug.

When connecting the power plug, make sure people cannot accidentally pull it out or trip over the cable.

Prior to connecting the device to the mains supply, make sure the speed selector switch
•
position (OFF).
Regularly check the cable for damage.

Do not use the device if the cable shows signs of damage. If the cable is damaged, have it replaced by a

qualified service centre.
Do not use the device if it has a damaged cable or plug, if it has become faulty, or if it has fallen or become

damaged in any way. Send the device to the manufacturer or the closest qualified service centre for inspection
or repair.
Switch OFF the device and remove the power plug if you encounter any faults during use, find any signs of

damage, or if it is not in use or is being cleaned.
Prevent the cable from making contact with hot surfaces or steam.

When removing the plug from the power socket, pull the plug itself, not the cable.

Make sure the power cord cannot be trodden on or pinched.

Use a 10 amp cable if an extension cable is required. Cables with a lower amp rating may burn out.

Fully unwind the cable when using an extension reel.

Do not operate the device using an external time switch or a separate remote control system.

Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid, to avoid the risk of electric shocks. Do not touch the

device if it has fallen into water. Remove the plug from the power socket, switch OFF the device and do not use
it again.
Ensure that the device and power cable do not come into contact with heat sources, such as hotplates or

naked flames.
WARNING! Never cover the power plug or cable with cloths, curtains or any other material in order to prevent

overheating and possible fire hazards.
WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, protect the device against dripping or splashing water,

and keep it away from objects filled with liquids, such as vases. Such objects should not be placed on or near
the device.
Important information, follow these instructions
This device can be used by children aged 8 and over and people with restricted physical, sensory or mental

capacity or a lack of experience and expertise, provided they are under supervision or have been given
instructions on the safe use of the device and are aware of the potential hazards. Children must not play with
the device. Cleaning and maintenance must not be done by children unless they are over the age of 8 and are
being supervised.
The use of accessories not recommended by the device manufacturer could lead to injury.
