i.e. wood or rough coated surfaces are acceptable. Bright shiny reflective
sheet steel or the like is not suitable for laser use as the reflective surface
could direct the beam back at the operator.
Only turn the laser beam on when the tool is on the workpiece.
• Mark the line of the cut on the workpiece. Adjust the depth of cut and
bevel angle as required.
• Rest the front edge of the base on the workpiece.
• Switch on the laser beam by pressing the laser switch (12).
• Align the beam shot from the laser aperture (13) with the line on the
workpiece.
• Start the motor by pressing the on/off switch (2) and retain with locking
button (3).
• After completing your cut, press and release the on/off switch (2) and
allow the blade to come to a complete stop. Do not remove the saw
from the workpiece while the blade is moving. Switch off the laser
beam by pressing the laser switch (12) again on completion of the cut.
h) Operating instruction
• Sawing
Do not force the saw: this causes the saw blade to overheat and bend
and/or break. If material to be cut is thin, place it on an additional board/
plate to dampen vibrations and improve cutting.
• Cutting angle adjustment
See figure B and C.
To set the saw for bevel and angled cutting, undo the holding screws of
the saw base (16) with the adjusting wrench (11) and push the base (16)
back out of its rest position. Set the cutting angle by angling the base (16)
to the right or the left.
The angles 0°, 1 5°, 30° and 45° are marked, but values in – between
these can be easily set. Firmly tighten both holding-screws.
• Plunge sawing
See figure D and E.
Only soft materials such as wood, aerated concrete, plaster board, etc.
may be worked with plunge method.
Cut-outs in wood are possible without pre-drilling by piercing with the
running machine. This requires a certain amount of practice, however,
and is possible only with short saw blades.
Place the front edge of the base plate (8) on the work piece and press
the on/off switch (2). Press the machine firmly against the workpiece and
plunge the saw blade (5) slowly into the workpiece.
After reaching the required cutting depth, bring the machine again to the
