Remote Control - Igniting
Turn button A anti-clockwise to ON.
At the same time, press and hold buttons
you hear a short signal indicating that the ignition process
has begun; now release the buttons.
Continuous signals indicate that the ignition process is
active. A short sound signal (0.2 sec., 1kHz) indicates that
the ignition process has been completed and that there is
sufficient gas flow. Now the appliance will automatically
switch to full load.
Adjustment - Flame Height
In standby mode: Press

pilot flame.
Switching the appliance off
The appliance is switched off using the small 'off' button
on your remote control.
"MAN" Mode - Manual Flame Height Adjustment
1. Press
to turn on the main burner.

to increase the flame height.

to decrease the flame height or to go to pilot
standby position.
NOTE: While pressing either button a symbol indicating
transmission appears on the display.The receiver
confirms transmission with an acoustic signal.
Setting °C/24 hour or °F/12 hour Clock

Setting the Time

TEMP MODE - Daytime Temperature
Mode:The room temperature is measured and compared
to the set temperature.The flame height is then automati-
cally adjusted to achieve the Daytime set temperature.

TEMP MODE - Nighttime Setback
Temperature Mode:The room temperature is measured
and compared to the Nighttime Setback temperature.The
flame height is then automatically adjusted to achieve the
Nighttime Setback temperature.
TIMER MODE - The Timer setting allows you to set
two (2) burner ON times and two (2) burner OFF times
every 24 hours.
NOTE: The display shows the set temperature every
30 seconds.
Changing the Mode of Operation
Briefly pressing the SET button changes the mode of

Setting the Temperature
1. Select either the

Setting the Timer
1. Select Timer mode by briefly pressing the SET button.
2. Press and hold the SET button until "TIMER" is displayed
on the lower right hand side.

If Nighttime Setback Temperature is turned off,

will not appear.
5. Once all four (4) times are set, press OFF or simply
wait to complete programming.
N.B.: timer and thermostat functions will only work if
the appliance is on stand-by with the pilot alight.
Manual ignition
It is also possible to ignite the heater manually if necessary.
To do this, remove the glass pane.Turn button A (fig 24) to
MAN. Now, poking a pen or screwdriver etc. through the
hole in button A, press the coil.The pilot-light burner will
now fill with gas and can be ignited with matches or a
lighter. After 10 seconds you can release the coil and the
pilot light will stay alight. Replace the glass window frame
and turn button A back to ON. Now you can regulate the
heater by remote control or manually by turning button B.
The ticking heard when the button is turned is perfectly
normal.
