7. Placement of the Clear Water Pump
• Attach a sufficiently strong, water-tight rope to the carry handle to lower the clear water pump, e.g. into a well.
The clear water pump must never be held or attached by the mains cable or the float switch! This may
damage the mains cable; there is danger to life from electric shock! The clear water pump also must not be
attached via the hose.
Fasten the rope to a suitable holder.
Never put the clear water pump with the intake opening into dirt, sludge or leaf residue, e.g. in a rain barrel,
because this will clog the clear water pump. We recommend complying with a minimum distance of 30 cm
above ground.
• To connect the hose used by you to the clear water pump, you may use the enclosed connection piece and the
hose connection.
• There is a cable holder on the side of the carrying handle. It serves to fasten the cable to the float switch.
The activation/deactivation water level will later result from the position in which the float switch cable is attached.
Set the cable length that fits your site of use so that the float switch will switch the clear water pump on and off as
desired.
8. Commissioning
• After lowering the clear water pump into the well, etc. by a rope and fastening the rope accordingly, plug the mains
plug into a properly installed protective ground mains socket. This must be an IP44 mains socket for operation in
the outdoor area.
The mains plug must only be plugged into the mains socket when dry. There is danger to life from electric
shock otherwise!
• When the float switch is placed correctly, the clear water pump will switch on and start taking in water and transport-
ing it through the exit opening.
If no water is conveyed, there is still air in the clear water pump and the hose. You may be able to accelerate the
intake process if you fill water into the clear water pump or the hose, or if you move the clear water pump slightly
back and forth.
• The clear water pump switches off automatically if the float switch drops.
The clear water pump can also be operated manually by fastening the float switch to the clear water pump
by the cable holder accordingly or placing it higher.
The clear water pump pressure pump must not be operated unsupervised then, because the clear water
pump will not switch off if there is no water, which would damage the pump.
