INTRODUCTION
The snow chains are designed for mounting on passenger car wheels and wheels for commercial
vehicles and trailers. These serve to control the vehicle with ice and snowfall, especially in
mountainous areas. The snow chains must not be used if:
- They are damaged or severely worn,
- On unpaved mountain roads and on tires the size of which is not shown in the size list,
- Any other use than described is not permitted
The product
The snow chains improve the road holding between the tires and the road surface and allow the vehi-
cle to travel onicy and snowy roads, especially in mountainous areas.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Warning: follow these instructions to prevent accidents!
When snow chains can not be installed:
- If these are damaged and can no longer be repaired.
- On insufficiently fortified mountainous roads.
- When the snow chains are worn out considerably.
- If the traffic situation does not allow a safe installation
Basic rules:
•
Read these instructions for use completely and keep it safe for future reference.
•
For the towing process, the rules of the road traffic regulations must be observed.
•
Snow chains may change the performance of the vehicle; especially on dry driving surface the
performance might be affected adversely (eg braking characteristics)!
•
Intense abrasion of supporting components may cause component fractions (eg fractions of
chain)!
•
The snow chains must not be used if: they are damaged or severely worn, on unpaved
mountain roads and on tires the size of which is not shown in the size list. Any other use than
described is not permitted.
•
The operation mode must be adapted to the respective traffic conditions. Because of safety
reasons it is not allowed to drive more than 50 km/h; even by favourable traffic conditions.

Any instructions given by the vehicle manufacturer shall be observed!
•
Avoid sudden acceleration and deceleration.
•
Drive with great foresight, especially when driving with a trailer.
•
Follow the installation instructions in this manual strictly. Check the fit of the snow chains
after installation after 1 km driving distance and for longer journeys at regular intervals.
Tighten the snow chains if necessary.
•
Park your vehicle in a safe place to mount the snow chains, e.g. in a parking lot.
If this is not possible, set out a warning triangle in accordance with the regulations.
If this is also not possible, ask for assistance in approaching traffic for the danger situation to
warn.
•
For your safety: wear a reflective safety vest during assembly!
