If the appliance needs to be stored for a prolonged period of

1. Set control knobs to off (red bar pointing upwards).
2. Close valve at the gas cylinder.
3. Remove the gas cylinder from the appliance, by unscrew-
ing the gas hose.
4. Carefully clean the appliance.
5. The appliance can be stored in a dry location indoors (e.g.
garage or cellar).

well ventilated location and out of reach of children!
7. Cover the appliance.
When removing the appliance from storage check for tube
burner obstructions.

Troubleshooting

PROBLEM
Flames on the tube burners burn in
yellow or orange flames combined
with the smell of gas.
Flame is low while control knob is
on HI / high temperature setting or
burner does not ignite.
When using the igniter function, the
burner does not ignite.
Flame pattern on the burners is
inhomogeneous or does not run the
whole length of the tube burner.

SPIDER/INSECT ALERT
If the appliance is getting hard to light or the flame is
weak, check and clean the venturis and tube burners.
Spiders or small insects are known to create flashback
problems by building nests and laying eggs in the appli-
ance's venturi or tube burner obstructing the flow of gas.
The backed-up gas can ignite behind the control panel.
This flashback can damage the appliance and cause seri-
ous injury or death. To prevent flashbacks and ensure
good performance, the burner and venturi tube assembly
should be removed and cleaned whenever the appliance
has been idle for an extended period of time.
CAUSE
Check the tube burners for spiders and
insects or other obstructions.
Check if the gas cylinder is empty.
Check if the gas hose is bent or kinked.
Check if gas flows out by following the
manual lighting instructions.
For the side burner: The ignitor cable is not
properly connected.
The hose rupture protection of the pres-
sure regulator has stopped the gas supply.
The electrodes are covered by cooking
residue.
Check if the burners are clean.
CAUTION
SOLUTION
Clean the tube burners as described in
cleaning and care.
Install a full gas cylinder and check for
leaks.
Straighten the gas hose.
If the burner lights up, check if the igniter
is working properly.
If the burner does not light up, clean the
tube burners as described in cleaning
and care.
Make sure that the ignitor cable is in-
stalled correctly.
Set back the hose rupture protection and
check hose for leakage (see pressure
regulator instructions).
Clean the tube burners as described in
cleaning and care. Additionally clean the
electrode tips with alcohol.
Clean the tube burners as described in
cleaning and care.
