1.5 Caution
•
This appliance is intended for normal
household use only. It is not intended
for use in environments such as staff
kitchens of shops, offices, farms or other
work environments. Nor is it intended
to be used by clients in hotels, motels,
bed and breakfasts and other residential
environments.
•
Do not attempt to repair the appliance
yourself, otherwise the guarantee
becomes invalid.
•
If the appliance is used improperly or
for professional or semi-professional
purposes or if it is not used according to
the instructions in the user manual, the
guarantee becomes invalid and FERM
refuses any liability for damage caused.
•
Do not use the appliance if it is dropped
or otherwise damaged or if the cord
or plug are damaged. In the case of
damage, take the appliance to an
electrical repair shop for examination and
repair if necessary.
•
Always place and use the appliance on a
dry, stable, level and horizontal surface.
•
Do not touch the plug with wet or damp
hands.
•
Always unplug the appliance after use.
•
The bread may burn, therefore do not use
the toaster near or below combustible
material, such as curtains.
•
Let the appliance cool down for approx.
30 minutes before you handle or clean it.
•
Do not try to remove the foodstuff from
the unit while the unit is still in operation.
•
This unit is suitable only for toasting
bread. Do not heat up any other food
with this unit.
•
Do not ever put bread with cheese or
other spreads in the bread slot.
1.6 Manufacturer liability
The manufacturer declines any liability for
damage to persons or property caused by:
•
Use of the appliance other than the one
envisaged.
•
Not having read the user manual.
•
Tampering with any part of the appliance.
•
Use of non-original spare parts.
•
Failure to comply with the safety
instruction.
1.7 Disposal
The crossed out wheelie bin symbol
means that this product shall
not be disposed of with normal
household waste. Electronic and
Electrical Equipment not included
in the selective sorting process
are potentially dangerous for the
environment and human health
due to the presence of hazardous
substances. Please dispose of
responsibly at an approved waste or
recycling facility.
Only for EC countries
Do not dispose of power tools into
domestic waste. According to the
European Guideline 2012/19/EU for Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment and its
implementation into national right, power
tools that are no longer usable must be
collected separately and disposed of in an
environmentally friendly way.
