General Safety Information

Read the instructions for use care-
fully.
Familiarise yourself with the adjust-
ment settings and how to use the
machine correctly. Learn how to
instantly switch off the machine.
Attention! During operation, this
electric tool generates an electro-
magnetic field which, under certain
circumstances, may impair the
functionality of active or passive
medical implants. To reduce the
risk of serious or lethal injuries, we
recommend that persons with medi-
cal implants consult their doctor and
the manufacturer of their medical
implant before operating the ma-
chine.
Caution! When using power tools,
observe the following basic safety
measures for the prevention of
electric shocks and the risk of injury
and fire:
Preparation:
Do not allow the use of this equipment
by children or others who are unfamil-
iar with these operating instructions.
Local regulations may specify the mini-
mum age of the operator.
Children should be supervised to en-
sure that they do not play with the ap-
pliance.
Do not use the equipment when peo-
ple and particularly children or pets are
nearby.
The operator or user is responsible for
accidents, injuries to other people or
damage to the property of others.
Check the terrain on which the equip-
ment is to be used and remove stones,
sticks, wires and other foreign objects
that could become caught and thrown
up.
When working, wear closely fitting win-
ter clothing, gloves and sturdy shoes
with a non-slip sole. Do not wear loose
clothing or clothes that straps or belts
suspend from.
There is a risk of personal injury.
Always wear eye and hearing protec-
tion when you are working or making
any adjustments or repairs. There is a
risk that foreign bodies can be thrown
into your eyes.
Adjust the machine to the outside tem-
perature before you start removing the
snow.
Do not make any settings to the ma-
chine while it is in operation (except
those recommended by the manufac-
turer).
Only operate the machine, if it is in a
perfect and safe condition. Never dis-
able any safety guard, e.g. do not tie
the start handle. Many accidents are
the result of poorly maintained machin-
