Starting the engine

Keep the appliance on an even surface with little or the shor-
test possible grass.
1. Tilt the unit backwards slightly until the front wheels are off the

2. Depress button and hold

4. Slowly lower the front of the unit until the front wheels are tou-
ching the ground again.

Note:
When the cutter deck is in contact with the ground, the unit
can move.
Stopping the engine
Release switch lever (Fig. 8a).
Maintenance
General

Attention! Rotary cutter blade
Before all maintenance and cleaning work:
pull out the power plug.
Do not touch running blades.
Leave the motor to cool down (approx. 30 minutes) be-
fore cleaning, servicing, storing or shutting down the unit.

Machine runs unevenly, with
heavy vibrations
Abnormal noises or rattling in
the machine
Motor will not run
When in doubt, always consult a WOLF-Garten service workshop.
Important: switch off the scarifi er and disconnect the mains plug before inspecting, cleaning or working on the blades.

Possible cause

The working depth is set too low

Attention! Electric shock through cable damage
When the cable is cut through or damaged, the
safety fuse doesn't always trip.
Do not touch cable, before pulling out the power
plug from the socket.
Damaged cable has to be completely replaced.
Patching cable with insulating tape is forbidden.
Scarification

Start the engine as indicated.
Push the scarifier along parallel strips of the lawn.
Place the power cord in large loops on the ground.
Emptying the grass sack
Release switch lever and wait until the motor stops.
Lift the deflector flap and unhook the grass sack.
Empty out the contents.
Transporting

Cleaning
Clean the unit thoroughly with a brush after each use.
Do not spray with water.
Store unit in a dry room.
