INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO
• To secure the clamp with any device other than its load ring.
• To lock the load ring joint.
• To try to open the knurled jaw or when a load is applied.
• To use the accessory for lifting and horizontal transport of sheets.
• To use the accessory for purposes or configurations other than those described in this user manual.
• To clean the accessory using high-pressure cleaning devices and/or using aggressive chemicals (e.g. acids, chlorinated products).
• To use the accessory to lift metal sheets and/or metal components with thicknesses above or below the extremes of the indicated
thickness range.
• To use the accessory in environments with temperatures outside -10°C to 50°C.
• To use the accessory to lift a load in environments where the wind speed is such that its stability is compromised.
• To use the accessory to lift or move people.
• To use the accessory in explosive or corrosive environments.
• To trying to lift or pull a tied load.
• To use the accessory as an electrical ground or conductor.
• To pull a load sideways to lift.
• To swing the load.
• To stand or move under the load (caution: a plate can fall vertically on its edge, but then tip to one side; never stand sideways to it).
• To intervene on the accessory without first removing the load.
• To wear particularly loose-fitting personal clothing, or clothing with parts that could become entangled with the accessory mechanism.
ACCESSORY DESCRIPTION
The articulated clamp for lifting and vertical handling of metal sheet is designed for lifting, rotating, tilting and handling sheet metal
or other metal components such as beams, profiles, tubular sections etc. with a maximum surface hardness of 30 HRC (300 HB)
The clamp is generally used connected to a lifting sling (chain, rope or textile) via hooks, links, shackles or other connecting
devices.
The clamp is equipped with a safety spring that ensures permanent jaw contact with the sheet metal. The reset lever allows the
sheet metal to be clamped even without tension.
The knurled cam locking facilitates the positioning of the sheet inside the housing and the metal tip at the cam itself ensures better
clamping and greater safety in use.
The clamping force is increased by the weight of the load and increases as the pull begins.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Robur sheet metal clamps can be used to lift sheet metal or other metal components with a maximum surface hardness of 30
HRC (300 HB).
ATTENTION: some situations, e.g. welding, material coatings, heat treatments and manufacturing processes,
can change the original hardness of the load even locally
