21. Before putting into operation for the first time
Remove all packaging materials. Check that the appliance is in perfect condition. If in
doubt, do not use the appliance and contact After Sales Service.
Cleaning the appliance thoroughly
See information in Cleaning and Maintenance.
Burning out cooking zones
Before normal use of the appliance, switch on each cooking zone individually at the
maximum power level for at least 5 minutes: Burn any production residues and
evaporate any condensation present in the appliance.
An odour and slight smoke formation caused by the escaping vapours is normal and no
cause for concern. Please ensure that the room is well ventilated during the process.
Carry out these steps before switching on for the first time and repeat them if the
appliance is not used for several weeks.
NOTE
Place a pan half full of cold water on each cooking zone to be burned out.
