If tilted to an angle of more than 45° during transport or
when changing the door fittings, wait 30 minutes before
connecting it to the mains and switching it on to enable
the refrigerant circuit to settle.
6.2. Sett ing up the appliance
NOTICE!
Possible material damage!
Risk of damage to the appliance due to improper han-
dling
 Install the refrigerating appliance in a dry and ventilat-
ed room. The room should be approx. 4 m² to ensure
that sufficient air volume is available if the refrigera-
tion system becomes damaged.
 Take the space requirements into consideration when

setting up the appliance:

to ensure adequate ventilation, a minimum clearance
of 30 cm to the top, 5 cm to the sides and to the back
must be observed. To be able to open the refrigerator
door fully, the following room dimensions must be
available (see Fig. 12).
 The appliance is suitable for climate classes N and ST
(see the type plate). The cooling performance of the
appliance is guaranteed at ambient temperatures from
16°C to 38°C. If temperatures deviate from this range,
the appliance performance may be reduced.
 Do not expose the appliance to extreme conditions.
Avoid:
– high humidity or wet conditions
– extremely high or low temperatures
– direct sunlight
– naked flames.
 Move the appliance to a suitable location.

 Ensure that the appliance is level, compensate for any
unevenness in the floor by screwing in the adjustable
feet (3) (see Fig. 13).
 Level the refrigerator with a spirit level.

6.3. Removing and reinserting the shelf

 To remove the shelf (10), open the refrigerator door (4)
fully.
 Lift up the shelf (10) with both hands and remove the
shelf from the refrigerator compartment (8) at a slight
angle.
 The shelf (10) is fitted as follows:
 Insert the shelf (10) into the guide rails and push it in as
far as it will go.

7. Operating the appliance

 Connect the appliance to an earthed mains socket. The
local mains voltage must correspond to the technical
specifications for the appliance.
The temperature control setting automatically adjusts the
temperature in the refrigerator compartment.
The refrigeration temperature can be set as follows:
0
The appliance is switched off
1
The lowest level of
cooling (the warmest
at approx. 6°C)
2
4
Intermediate posi-
to
tion
5
The highest level of
cooling (the coldest
at approx. -4°C)
Fluctuating ambient temperatures can cause the energy
consumption and temperature inside the refrigerator to
rise.
 Before loading fresh food, set the refrigerator compart-
ment (6) temperature to the coldest setting 5 and close
the refrigerator door (4).
 Check the temperature in the refrigerator compart-
ment with a thermometer (8). The ideal temperature
is +5°C. You can load the food once this temperature
is reached. Then set the temperature control (9) to a
centre position.
The internal temperatures can be influenced by factors
such as the installation location, ambient temperature and
the number of times the door is opened. Take these fac-
tors into account when setting the temperature control.
