Preparations

Carry out all water connection and installation work in
accordance with regulations.

The blow-off line of the safety assembly must not be
blocked.

If a heat exchanger is installed in the same cylinder, you
must limit the maximum temperature for this heat ex-
changer. This prevents the high limit safety cut-out of the
threaded immersion heater from responding.
Note
When used in sealed cylinders, the max. permissible
pressure must not be exceeded (see chapter "Specifica-
tion / Data table"). This should be ensured by means of a
type-tested safety valve.
The cylinder must have metal water inlet and outlet pipes, and
other metal components of the cylinder that come into contact
with water must be connected permanently and reliably to the
earth conductor.

10. mounting
Note
Installation from below is not permissible for safety rea-
sons.
f Observe the permissible installation position in the cylinder
f
(see figure).
f Always install the threaded immersion heater with heating
f
elements and a protective pipe arranged in parallel. Realign
the components where necessary.
f During installation, ensure that the temperature selector is at
f
the top.
f Screw on the appliance up to at least half of the thread. The
f
threaded immersion heater is sealed in by means of a seal
ring.
