Inserting and removing the battery (Fig. A)
WARNING: Before making any adjustments ensure the drill is switched off
with the direction of rotation selector in the centre position
Hold the tool with one hand and the battery pack (7) with the other.
To install: push and slide the battery pack into the battery port, make sure the release
latch on the rear side of the battery snaps into place and the battery is secure before
beginning operation.
To remove: Press the battery release latch and pull the battery pack out at the same time.

Belt clip (Fig. C)
The belt clip (11) is convenient for temporarily hanging the tool.
When attaching or replacing the belt clip (11), use only the screw that is provided. Be sure
to securely tighten the screw.
The belt clip can be attached to either side of the tool using only the screw provided, to
accommodate left- or right- handed users.
If the belt clip is not desired at all, it can be removed from the tool.
To move belt hook or belt clip, remove the screw that holds it in place then reassemble on
the opposite side. Be sure to securely tighten the screw.

Installing and removing bits and drills (Fig. B)
This drill has a keyless chuck (1) to prevent the bit or drill from loosening.
Hold the soft grip of the cordless drill firmly with one hand.
Turn ring A anticlockwise with the other hand until the drill chuck opening is large enough
to accept the tool.
Insert the drill or the screwdriver bit into the drill chuck.
Turn ring A clockwise until the tool is clamped tightly.
Remove the tool in the opposite way.

Starting and stopping (Fig. A)
The drill is started and stopped by depressing and releasing the trigger switch (4) .
9.8
Variable speed (Fig A)
This tool has a variable speed trigger switch (4) that delivers higher speed and torque with
increased trigger pressure. Speed is controlled by the amount of trigger switch depression.

Trigger switch lock (Fig A)
The trigger switch (4) can be locked in the center position.
This helps to reduce the possibility of accidental starting when not in use. To lock the
trigger switch (4), place the direction of rotation selector (5) in the center position.
9.10
Direction of rotation (Fig A)
Direction of rotation is controlled by the direction of rotation selector (5) located above the
trigger switch.
9.10.1
Clockwise rotation:
To select clockwise rotation, release the trigger switch and push the direction of rotation
selector (6) to the left side of the tool.
9.10.2
Anticlockwise rotation:
To select anticlockwise rotation, release the trigger switch and push the selector (6) to the
right side of the tool.
