3.Check that the battery is seated securely.
Removing the battery
1.Press the battery release button.
2.Remove the battery from the product.

WARNING
Risk of injury by falling tool and/or accessory!
Use only the Hilti tool tether recommended for your product.
Prior to each use, always check the attachment point of the tool tether for possible damage.
Do not secure a tool tether to the belt hook. Do not use a belt hook to lift the product.
Comply with the national regulations for working at heights.
As drop arrester for this product, use only a combination of the Hilti retaining strap #2293133 and
the Hilti tool tether #2261970.
Secure the retaining strap to the installation openings for accessories. Check that it holds securely.
Secure one carabiner of the tool tether to the retaining strap and secure the second carabiner to a
load-bearing structure. Check that both carabiners hold securely.
Comply with the operating instructions of the Hilti retaining strap and those of the Hilti tool
tether.
Installing an accessory tool
CAUTION
Risk of injury through use of the wrong type of accessory tool!
Do not use worn or damaged accessory tools.
1.Clean the connection end of the accessory tool.
2.Push the accessory tool fully on to the tool holder.
3.Check that the accessory tool is held correctly.
Removing the accessory tool
CAUTION
Risk of injury by the accessory tool! The accessory tool might be hot or have sharp edges.
Wear protective gloves when changing the accessory tool.
Pull the accessory tool off the tool holder.
Installing/removing friction ring and O-ring
1.Using suitable pliers, remove the worn/damaged friction ring and the O-ring.
2.Seat the new O-ring in the groove in the tool holder.
3.Seat the friction ring in the groove in the tool holder.
4.Make sure that the accessory tool is securely installed in the tool holder.

Selecting mode
Repeatedly press the mode selector until the mode indicator shows the mode you want to use (see
Technical data).
Operation
CAUTION
Risk of injury by damaged workpieces! Overtightening can damage screws or the workpiece. This
presents a risk of injury.
Make sure that the screws and workpieces can withstand the loads imposed by this product.
