The pump's return valve is open
Leaking couplings

The pump's venting function is closed/
blocked
Air in the cylinder
Wrong oil
Low oil level in the pump

Coupling/nipple defective
Air in the cylinder
Air in the hydraulic system

Ruptured hose

Action
Close the valve
Repair the leakage
Fill with hydraulic oil
Service the pump
Replace the hose
Use the intended pump. Check the
pressure. Service
Check external influence on the
hydraulic cylinder
Replace the seals. Service
Open the air screw/clean the venting
hole
Vent the cylinder
Drain, clean and fill with new hydraulic
oil
