Dismantling a ball joint:
1. Loosen the nut on the ball joint.
2. Allow the nut to remain on the screw 2-3
mm down. This is to give better contact on
the press tool and to protect the thread on
the screw.
3. Align the hydraulic tool on the ball joint.
Ensure that the press tool and counterhold
tool make contact correctly. The counterhold
tool must be held in as far as possible
against the rubber gaiter. The hydraulic
piston must be kept parallel with the screw
on the ball joint.
4. Press out the ball joint or press max 300 bar.
