Always comply with the fundamental safety regulations (legal
provisions) and safety requirements for the work with electric
systems, machine and components.
•
Before commencing cleaning, retrofitting and maintenance
work, shut down the control cabinet completely and isolate it
from the power supply to avoid electric shock and burns.
•
Disconnect mains plug
•
Only trained specialist personnel may complete work involving
electrical systems, machines and components
•
Eliminate any damage to electrical systems, machines or
components immediately
DANGER – Live components
Touching live components can cause electric shock and result
in burns, severe health damage or even death.
•
Never work on live parts!
De-energise all system components before working on
them.
•
Use insulated tools only.
•
Switch off any auxiliary aids (compressed air, hydraulics, etc.)
NOTE – earth connection
Prior to maintenance personnel or other persons commencing
work, ensure that the component is correctly earthed.
•
Wear suitable footwear.
An incorrectly connected power cable can cause fire or electric
shock.
•
Operate the control cabinet only with the mains voltage
indicated on the rating plate.
•
Check the source of power carefully (e.g., fuses, FI protection).
•
Install protective earth conductors.
•
Keep cables away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
Use only original fuses with the prescribed voltages.
•
Never repair or bridge defective fuses
