If the displayed measured value on the reference plate or the substrate is outside
the measurement accuracy, carry out a zero adjustment as follows:
Place the probe on the reference plate or substrate
■
Press the button on the appliance briefly.
■
Raise the appliance by at least 10 cm.
■
A control number appears on the display.
3
A signal tone is audible.
3
Zero adjustment is completed.
3
Dirt or roughness can cause measurement fluctuations.
Place the measuring head flush on the surface to be measured.
■
In order to avoid tilting, hold the device at the handles near the measuring
head.
A control number appears on the display.
3
A signal tone is audible.
3
At the same time, information is displayed as to which probe the appliance
3
has used for measurement. This is particularly important when using the dual
probe.
If zero adjustment is performed on a non-metallic substrate or if the appliance
3
is used incorrectly, "Zero Reference Error" is displayed.
Measurements outside the probe measuring range result in "INFI"
3
(infinite) being displayed.
The appliance switches on automatically when the probe is placed on the
3
substrate and switches off again after approx. 30 seconds when not in use.
For measurements on bars, tubes, etc., use the V groove in the measuring head.
■
Do not carry out measurements on magnetised parts.
Magnetic fields can influence the measurement result in the Fe part.
Strong electromagnetic fields can influence the NFe measurement.
