Spare parts are available for carrying out repairs (see chapter 13).
10.1. Replacing the nozzle set
The nozzle set consists of a tested combination of paint needle [5-7], air
cap [5-9] and fluid tip [5-8]. Always replace the complete nozzle set.
Dismantle the nozzle set
■ Unscrew the regulating cap [5-1].
■ Remove washer [5-2] and spring [5-3].
■ Unscrew the end cap (spanner size 24) [5-4].
■ Remove both springs [5-5], [5-6].
■ Remove paint needle [5-7].
■ Unscrew air cap ring [5-10] by hand and remove together with the air cap [5-9].
■ Unscrew fluid tip [5-9] using the SATA universal spanner.
Fit new nozzle set
Attention!
The components can be damaged if fitted in the wrong order.
→ Always fit the fluid tip before the paint needle.
Note!
The SATAminijet has no tapered dowel pin for aligning the air cap.
■ Screw the fluid tip [5-8] in using the SATA universal spanner.
■ Position the air cap ring [5-10] together with the air cap [5-9] and screw on by
hand. Heed the correct nozzle setting and check that the notches in the air cap
are aligned with the tapered dowel pin [6-1] (not in the SATAminijet).
■ Insert the paint needle [5-7].
■ Position both springs [5-5], [5-6].
■ Screw on the end cap [5-4].
■ Position the spring [5-3].
■ Insert the washer [5-2] in the regulating cap [5-1].
■ Screw on the regulating cap.
■ Readjust the parameters for material flow using the scales (see chapter 9.2).
