d) Do not misuse the cable by
using it to carry the attached
power tool, to hang it up or to
pull the plug out of the socket.
Keep the cable away from
heat, oil, sharp edges and
moving power tool parts.
Damaged or entangled cords
increase the risk of electric
shock.
e) If you are working with a
power tool outdoors, only use
extension cables that are
approved for outdoor use. The
use of a suitable extension cord
for outdoor use will reduce the
risk of an electric shock.
f) If it is not possible to avoid
using the power tool in a damp
environment, use a residual
current circuit-breaker. The use
of a residual current circuit-
breaker reduces the risk of an
electrical shock.
Safety of persons
a) Be careful and ensure that you
pay attention to what you are
doing and when using the
power tool. Do not use power
tools when tired, or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or
prescription drugs. A moment
of inattention while operating
power tools may result in serious
personal injury.
b) Use safety equipment. Always
wear goggles. Safety equipment

c) Prevent unintentional starting
up. Ensure that the power tool
is switched off before you
connect it to the power
supply/battery or carry it
anywhere. Carrying the device
with your finger on the switch or
plugging in a device that its
power switch turned on invites
accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or
wrench before turning the
power tool on. A wrench or a
key left attached to a rotating
part of the device may result in
personal injury.
e) Avoid contorted body
positions. Ensure that you have
a secure stance and keep your
balance at all times. This
enables better control of the
power tool in unexpected
situations.
f) Wear suitable clothing. Do not
wear loose clothing or
jewellery. Keep hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving
parts. Loose clothing, jewellery
or long hair may be caught on
moving parts.
g) If mechanisms are provided for
the connection of dust
extraction and collection
facilities, ensure that they are
connected and properly used.
