• Repeat this procedure until the pre-charge is correct.

Maintenance and service
The pre-charge must be checked annually to make sure that the expansion vessel is in working
order. If water disappears through the safety valve, it is possible that the pre-charge is too low.
Check this in the following manner:
1. Close the water supply.
2. Drain the boiler until the pressure is 0 bar.
3. Check the pre-charge.
4. Increase the pre-charge with nitrogen.
Make sure that the pre-charge is not higher than the maximum working pressure. If the expansion
vessel cannot be pressurized, it is possible that the membrane has a leak. You must then replace
the expansion vessel. See point : 4. De-installation.
4. De-installation
1. Close the water supply (K).
2. Drain the pressure from the system.
3. Remove the guard (L) and the plug (M).
4. Push on the inner valve (S) to drain the pressure (P) from the expansion vessel.
5. Unscrew the expansion vessel (A) and remove the fl ow distributor (D).
Caution
The water in the expansion vessel may be hot!
Caution
A full expansion vessel is heavy!
Environment
Observe the local regulations when you dispose of the expansion vessel.
