The workpiece should be clamped in a drilling vise (available at extra cost) or by means of clamping tools.
When using a vise, please mount the vise on the table or base.
Support long workpieces against the left side of the column (in order to prevent workpiece rotation).
Select speed
To change the spindle speed, place the V-belt around the corresponding stages of the pulleys. Loosen the
knob of the V-belt cover and open the cover. Refer to the table on the inside of the cover for correct placement
of the V-belt. After placing the V-belt, check the V-belt tension and adjust if necessary.
Insert drill
Choose a suitable drill for the operation. Allow for shape and material of workpiece. Consult other sources if
you have insufficient experience with drilling operations.
Center drill in chuck and tighten chuck. Ensure correct position of drill in centre of chuck.
Close chuck cover and check installation.
Adjust table
Place table in correct position for operation. The table can be elevated, rotated around the column or tilted.
Please refer to chapter 5 for more information.

9. Drilling
Start the machine and turn the feed handles clockwise. The chuck moves down and the drill touches the
workpiece. Apply moderate pressure on the levers to guide the drill through the material. Do not exert too
much pressure, this might cause the drill to break! If you apply to little pressure, the drill may slip.
Stop the machine after completing the operation.
10. Adjustment
Warning!
Switch off the machine and remove the plug from the socket before carryin out any adjustments.
