8. Initial operation
a) Remote control
• The maximum remote control range is 6 meters. Make sure that there are no objects (like furniture) between the
remote control and remote sensor (14) as this could cause signal interference.
Avoid the use of the remote control near other products that produce infrared beams as this could interfere
with the function of the remote control. On the other hand, this remote control may interfere with other
remote controls in the vicinity.
At first use
A plastic insulating strip is located on the pre-installed battery on delivery.
• Open the battery compartment as described in section "Replacing the battery", step 1.
• Pull the insulating strip from the battery compartment (28). The contact is now cleared.
• Close the battery compartment as described in section "Replacing the battery", step 3.
Replacing the battery
Replace the battery if the range of the remote control drops or the soundbar no longer reacts to the remote control.
• Step 1: Loosen the screw of the battery compartment cove on the battery
compartment with a suitable Phillips screwdriver and slide open the battery
compartment cover.
• Step 2: Replace the empty button cell battery with a new 3 V button cell CR2032.
Please pay attention to the correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-) when
inserting the battery. The positive pole of the button cell is marked with the "+"
symbol and must face the battery compartment cover.
• Step 3: Slide the battery compartment cover back onto the remote control until it
stops and secure it with the screw.
