The CD-ROM Drive
Push the eject button on the CD-ROM drive as shown in the illustration while the computer
is running. The compartment will slide open.
Place a CD into the depression of the tray with the printed side facing up. Try to avoid touch-
ing the underside of the CD with your fingers (see illustration).
To close the compartment, press the eject button of the CD-ROM drive once more.
Within a few seconds you will be able to access the data on the CD.
To remove the CD, repeat the above steps in reverse order.
Never use force to open the CD compartment. Should the compartment
fail to open, shut down the computer and activate the manual emergency
release. Please consult your CD-ROM drive's manual for more informa-
tion.
Never place any objects on top of the tray.
Never place more than one CD in the compartment at a given time.
Built-in CD-ROM drives are Class 1 laser products. Do not open the de-
vice and do not look into the laser beam, even when using optical instru-
ments.
Always keep the compartment closed when not in use in order to avoid
excessive dust collection in the drive.
