When replacing batteries, make sure to insert them under the correct
polarity as indicated within the battery compartment.

Batteries can contain combustible materials. If not handled correctly
batteries can leak, become very hot, ignite or even explode, which
could damage your appliance or/and your health.

Before inserting the batteries, check that the contacts in the device
and on the batteries are clean and, if necessary, clean them.

Only use new batteries.
-
Do not use rechargeable batteries.
-
Never try to recharge normal batteries. Danger of explosion!

Never expose the batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or
similar. There is an increased risk of leakage.

The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the appliance and safely
disposed of.

Never throw batteries into a fire.

Do take apart or deform the batteries.

Remove leaking batteries from the device immediately. Avoid contact
with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If these areas come into
contact with battery acid, rinse them immediately with plenty
of clean water and contact a doctor immediately. There is a risk
of corrosion due to battery acid.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision.

This product contains a coin / button cell battery. If the coin / button
cell battery is swallowed., it can cause several internal burns in just 2
hours and can lead to death. Keep new and used batteries away from
children.

If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the
product and keep it away from children.
INSTALL THE BATTERY

When first using the scales, remove the plastic strip on the back the
scales (battery compartment) by pulling on the strip with the red arrow

Remove the cover from the battery compartment
-
Remove the battery from the battery compartment.

Place the new battery with the "+" sign up into the battery compartment.

Replace the battery compartment cover.
