1. Remove the device from the packaging and remove all wrappers and stickers. Check the
device for transport damages. If the device is damaged, do not use it (!), instead contact
customer service.
2. Clean the device's baking surfaces with a soft, damp cloth/sponge and, if applicable, a small
amount of detergent. Dry the device with a soft dish towel.
3. Place the device on a dry, heat-resistant and level surface at a suffi cient distance to other
objects or the wall.
4. Insert the mains plug in a 230 V earthed socket with earthing contacts which has been in-
stalled in compliance with regulations. Make sure that the cord is not caught between
the baking surfaces! The device is now heating up. Let it heat up for a few minutes to
remove any production residue.
5. Turn the device off by pulling the mains plug out of the socket.
6. Allow the device to cool off and then clean it again.
Use
ATTENTION!
❐ Burn hazard! The device's baking surfaces get very hot. When fi lling the baking surfaces and
when removing the popcakes, be careful not to touch the baking surfaces!
❐ The device must always be in a horizontal position during operation and the lid must be
closed.
❐ Scalding hazard! Steam may be emitted from the device. Be careful when opening or
closing the device.
❐ Place the device in a location where there is no risk of falling or getting pulled down by the
cord! Children and animals must be under supervision to ensure that they do not play with
the device!
❐ Do not slide the device across the surface it is standing on in order to avoid abrasion of the
feet.
❐ Do not use metallic kitchen utensils or other sharp edged objects to remove the popcakes
in order to not damage the non-stick coat of the baking surfaces!
❐ Make sure that you do not overfi ll the device! Excess batter may fl ow out on the sides of the
device. Furthermore, the device should generally be easy to close. Do not forcefully attempt
to close the device!
The baking surfaces have a non-stick coat. However, for best results, we recommend
that you grease it lightly with cooking oil or fat before baking for the fi rst time. Do not
use cooking spray as it may damage the non-stick coat!
Baking popcakes
1. Prepare the batter according to your wishes. You can fi nd a recipe suggestions in the chapter
"Basic batter recipe".
2. Place the device on a dry, heat-resistant and level surface at a suffi cient distance to fl ammable
objects. If necessary, place a heat-resistant base under the device.
