Operation
The kitchen faucet is equipped with both a two-handle and touchless function plus a dishwasher
connection.
Touchless function
The touchless spout is switched on and off by a sensor-controlled solenoid valve. Placing your hands
within the sensor's recognition range opens the solenoid valve and water starts to flow. The solenoid
valve turns itself off automatically following a preset afterflow period. The water temperature is
controlled with the adjustment knob in the mixer unit (13) (figure 5).
Dishwasher connection (figure 5)
The mixer unit of the Oras Ventura kitchen faucet has a coupling for a dishwasher.
In model 8020 the water flow to the dishwasher is not prevented, and therefore the dishwasher
connection does not meet the requirements set for dishwasher valves in the Nordic countries.
In model 8025 the dishwasher connection is equipped with an electronic dishwasher valve. The valve
is opened by pressing an operating switch, and a signal light indicates that the valve is open. The valve
closes automatically after a preset period (2 hours). The valve can also be closed by pressing the
switch, and the signal light goes off to indicate the valve is closed.
The dishwasher valve can also be opened for 12 hours by keeping the operating switch pressed
down for a little longer (c. 5 seconds). The signal light blinks to indicate that the valve is open. The
dishwasher valve can also be closed by pressing the same switch until the signal light goes off.
The dishwasher can be determined to use either hot or cold water from the selector (12) in the mixer
unit. When the selector is in central position, the water inlet to the dishwasher is closed.
Note! Check the requirements for water temperature in the user manual of your dishwasher.
Adjustments
Adjusting recognition range (figure 5)
Recognition range is the distance at which the sensor reacts by turning on the faucet. Recognition
range is factory preset.
– Detach the adjustment knobs (12 and 13) by pulling them off, undo the screws of the cover and
detach the cover.
– Press the button (14) in the printed circuit board until a red light is lit.
– Place a white sheet of paper (e.g. this manual) in front of the faucet within 10 seconds from
pressing the button (14), at a distance where the faucet DOES NOT REACT. The sheet must not be
further than the water column.
– Hold the piece of paper still for about 30 seconds, when water will start to flow. DO NOT REMOVE
THE PAPER UNTIL THE WATER FLOW HAS STOPPED!
– Once the faucet switches off, the recognition range has been adjusted and the new value stored in
the microprocessor's memory. The value remains in memory even if there is a power cut.
– If the range is still unsatisfactory, make the adjustment again by positioning the piece of paper at the
appropriate distance.
– Attach the cover to the unit and press the adjustment knobs in place in the correct position.
Adjusting afterflow period (figure 5)
Afterflow is the period that water continues to flow after the user has removed their hands from within
the recognition range. Afterflow period is factory preset.
– Detach the adjustment knobs (12 and 13) by pulling them off, undo the screws of the cover and
detach the cover.
– Press the button (15) in the printed circuit board (a red light is lit).
– Press the button (14) to set the afterflow period, each press adds one second.
– Attach the cover to the unit and press the adjustment knobs in place in the correct position.
