WARNING!
• Do not use the equipment if you are tired or ill, or if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Always hold the equipment by both handles when using it. Get a solid grip on each handle.
• In order to always keep control over the equipment, it is important that you do not alter your
grip while working. Check that the handles are in good condition and that they are free from
damp, dirt and lubricants.
• Do not start the hedge cutter before it is has been fully assembled and you have fitted all
accessories to it.
• Losing control of the equipment can lead to serious injury, or in the worst case scenario death.

RESIDUAL RISKS

• Even if you use the hedge cutter according to the instructions, there are always residual risks.
There is always a risk of the following, due to the way the hedge cutter is built:
risk of being cut
hearing damage - if you do not use appropriate ear protection
damage to health due to repetitive swinging of hands and arms - if you do not use and
maintain the equipment according to the instructions
damage to eyes - always use protective glasses and ensure that people in the vicinity are
not injured by material which could be thrown into their path.
• If you use the hedge cutter for a long time, blood circulation can be affected by the vibrations.
It is however not possible to give a recommendation about how long a person should use the
equipment, as this can vary from person to person. The following factors can affect blood circulation:
disturbed circulation in the hands,
low outside temperature and lengthy periods of usage. Therefore, we recommend that
you use warm work gloves and take breaks at regular intervals.
WARNING!
• When you use the power tool, an electromagnetic field is created. This field may under certain
circumstances affect active or passive medical implants. To reduce the risk of serious of fatal
injury, we recommend that people with medical implants consult the implant manufacturer
before using the power tool.
• Even if you are an experienced user of the equipment, you must still be careful. Remember that
it only takes a fraction of a second of carelessness to risk serious injury.
• Always use protective glasses or safety goggles with side protection when operating the power
Tool. If you do not, material can be thrown into your eyes, leading to serious injury.
• Never use any additional parts or accessories which have not been expressly recommended for
the product by the manufacturer. If you fit unauthorised additional parts or accessories, the
result could be serious injury.
• Never let motor fuel, any oil-based products, penetration oils or similar products come into
contact with parts which are made of plastic. Chemicals can damage, soften or destroy the
plastic, which in turn can result in serious personal injury.
