PREPARATIONS
• Never let children use the equipment
• Be alert to electricity wires overhead
• Avoid working when other people, particularly children, are in the vicinity
• Think about wearing appropriate clothing! Do not wear loose-fitting clothes or jewellery, as
these can become caught in the equipment's moving parts. We recommend that you use
heavy-duty gloves, non-slip shoes, protective glasses and ear protection.
• If the blades should hit something, or if the power tool makes an odd noise or vibrates strongly,
you should always turn it off and wait until the blades have stopped.
• Then do the following:
–
Check whether the equipment is damaged.
–
Check whether any parts of the equipment are loose. If necessary, tighten any parts
which have become loose.
–
Repair all faulty parts or replace them with original spare parts.
OPERATION
• The equipment can only be used for the areas of use described in these operating instructions.
• Unplug the equipment from the mains before you:
–
clean the equipment or remove anything which has become stuck
–
check, carry out maintenance or do any other work on the equipment.
–
modify or adjust the working position of the blades.
–
leave the tool unsupervised.
• Check that the equipment is in the right working position before you start the motor.
• Ensure that you are always standing in a safe and stable way when using the equipment. This
applies in particular if you are working on a ledge or on a ladder.
• Do not use the equipment if it is damaged or if the blades are extremely worn.
• Ensure you keep the hedge cutter away from dirt, leaves and excess lubricants.
• Ensure that all handles and safety guards are fitted when you use the equipment. Never attempt
to use any equipment which is not fully assembled or which has been adapted in a prohibited
way.
• Always hold the equipment with both hands if it is equipped with two handles.
• Be alert to your surroundings when you use the hedge cutter.
