b) Switching on the transmitter
When you have put fresh batteries in the transmitter, you can put the transmitter into operation briefly for testing
purposes.
To do this, proceed as follows:
Slide the joystick for the pitch and yaw function (see also
Fig. 1, Pos. 15) all the way to the body in the lowest
setting.
Slide the on/off switch (see also Fig. 1, Pos. 18) from the
bottom position „OFF" to the top position „ON".
The transmitter beeps briefly and the 5 LEDs of the LED
display (see Fig. 1, Pos. 2) light up.
The operation screen appears in the transmitter display
and the steering sensitivity indicator of 40% flashes.
Now push the joystick for the pitch function all the way
forward and back again. The transmitter beeps again,
and in the display, the propellers in the model symbol
are now shown darkened.
The percentage information of the most recently used
control channel (see Fig. 4, Pos. 10) and the transmis-
sion indicator next to the antenna symbol (see Fig. 4,
Pos. 1) appear at the same time. The transmitter is now
ready for use.
As the period of operation increases, the bars in the transmitter battery indicator (see Fig. 4, Pos. 3) gradu-
ally disappear.
When all four bars have gone out, the transmitter emits two short beeps at regular intervals. The power
supply is now no longer sufficient for a problem-free operation of the transmitter, and the operation of the
model must now be stopped immediately.
For further operation of the transmitter, new batteries have to be inserted. Unplug the flight battery from the
quadrocopter before changing the transmitter batteries.
