Commissioning
First make all electrical connections correctly and only then
carry out the commissioning!
▶ Follow all installation instructions for all components and
assemblies in the system.
▶ Only switch on the power supply when all modules are
set up.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to system through pump failure!
▶ Fill and vent the system before switching it on so that the
pumps do not run dry.
4.1
Setting the coding switch
If the coding switch is in a valid position, the status indicator
lights up green continuously. If the coding switch is in an invalid
position or an intermediate position, the status indicator does
not light up initially, then starts to flash red.

Commissioning of the system and module
If the coding switch at the module (MS 100) is set to 9 or 10,
there must be no BUS connection with a heat generator.
4.2.1 Settings when using solar thermal systems
1. Adjust the coding switch
2. Set the coding switch at other modules, if necessary.
3. Switch on the power supply (mains voltage) to the entire
system.
Once the status indicator on the module lights up green
constantly:
4. Put the control unit into operation as described in the
accompanying installation instructions and make the
appropriate settings.
5. Select the installed functions in the menu Solar settings >
Change solar configuration and add them to the solar
thermal system. This menu is not available for all control
units. This step may be omitted.
6. Check the settings for the solar thermal system at the
control unit and adjust them to suit the installed solar
thermal system if required.
7. Start the solar thermal system.
4.2.2 Settings with freshwater systems

4
1. Set the coding switch at the module (MS 100) for the
freshwater system to 9.
2. Set the coding switch at other modules, if necessary.
3. Switch on the power supply (mains voltage) to the entire
system.
If the indicators on the modules light up green continuously:
4. Put the control unit into operation as described in the
accompanying installation instructions and make the
appropriate settings.
