4. Power supply
The battery compartment is located under the trigger. To use the meter, open it and insert a 9 V block
battery within the correct polarity.
5. Operation
5.1 Measurement
To perform a simple standard measurement, the operator must press the trigger after inserting the battery.
This activates the laser and the measurement starts immediately at the point where the central laser is
aimed. When the trigger is released, the last measured value is held on the display. If the trigger is pressed
again, a new measurement is made automatically. Then the thermometer is set for 30 seconds. not used,
the device switches itself off automatically. To save the battery, the laser can be switched off with a
measurement at a short distance. To do this, the left function key can be pressed during the measurement.
If you press the right function key during the measurement, the backlight is switched off.
5.2 Additional measurement functions
The infrared thermometer has a number of additional measuring functions, which are briefly described
below.
5.2.1 Peak value measurement
5.2.1.1 Maximum
To record the maximum temperature measured during a measurement progress, select the "MAX" key with
the MODE key. When the measurement is subsequently carried out, the max. Value is shown at the bottom
right of the display and adjusted upwards when this displayed value is exceeded.
