c) Muting
• Pushing the button „MUTE" (5) on the IR remote control activates muting; the display shows „MUTE ON".
The speakers are now deactivated, e.g. if you want to talk on the phone for a moment.
• Pushing the button „MUTE" (5) on the IR remote control again terminates muting; the display shows
„MUTE OFF".
d) Setting Balance
For the best stereo sound impression, the level for audio playback for the left and right speakers can be
set separately.
• Briefly push the button „BALANCE" (24) on the IR remote control.
• Now use the volume controller (A) at the receiver or the buttons „VOLUME +/-" on the IR remote control
to set the level of the left speaker in the range of -10....+10.
• Briefly push the button „BALANCE" (24) on the IR remote control.
• Now use the volume controller (A) at the receiver or the buttons „VOLUME +/-" on the IR remote control
to set the level of the right speaker in the range of -10....+10.
• If you do not make any changes for a few seconds, the setting menu is left automatically.
e) Selecting the Input
Select the desired input with the corresponding button on the front of the receiver or the IR remote con-
trol:
„PHONO"
Record player
„DVD"
DVD player
„CD/USB"
CD player or USB data carrier (if connected to the USB port)
„TAPE"
Cassette deck
„TUNER/BAND"
FM or AM tuner (push button several times to switch)
