Installing liner transit (pictures 1-4)
Glue (A) a Ø 50 mm PVC pipe (3) into the liner transit (1) (min. PVC
-
tube length (3) 300 mm). Make sure that the pipe protrudes at least 50
mm out of the wall* (2).
Cement over the connector (1) with PVC pipe (3) up to 300mm below
-
the water level in the wall* (2) of the pond.
Let the cement harden before working further on the connection. *) If
-
present.
Place the EPDM pond liner (4) as described in the manufacturer's
-
directions.
Screw down the clamping ring (5) with the 5 stainless steel screws (6) to
-
the liner transit (1) and tighten the screws (6) into the threaded bushes
on the liner transit (1).
With a screwdriver, tighten the screws firmly and evenly until the
-
clamping ring (5) holds the liner in place and creates a watertight seal.
Cut off the excess liner (4) inside the clamping ring (5) with a sharp
-
knife (D).
Then carry out one of the following instructions, depending on what you
would like to use the liner transit for.
A) Multi liner transit (picture 5)
Glue (A) a PVC conection (7), PVC hose nozzle or PVC pipe to a Ø 50mm
glued joint in the liner transit (1) in the pond, to which you can connect
a pump or other device.
Connect the protruding end (F) of the PVC pipe (3), as desired, to a
filter, pond, etc.
B) Water jet (picture 6)
Screw the water jet (8) pieces together (E).
Turn the water jet (8) in the liner transit by inserting it in the connector
and turning it clockwise until it stops turning and is secured in place
(bayonet catch).
Connect the PVC pipe (3) protruding from the pond (F) to a pump.
C) Cable seal (picture 7)
With the cable seal, you can create a watertight connector for cables, and leave
the plug attached to the cable.
Determine the length of cable (10) needed in the pond and attach the
cable seal (11) (G) to that point.
Make sure that the bolts on the outside of the pond can be tightened and
the half-round clamping plates are positioned crosswise on top of each
other with the rubber seal between them.
Run the cable (10) (with attached plug) from the pond through the liner
transit (1) until the seal (11) on the cable (10) is inside the connector
(1).
Tighten the four bolts evenly with the supplied Allen key (9) until the
cable seal (11) creates a watertight seal around the PVC pipe (3) and
cable (10).
Caution! The pump's 230 Volt cable may not be used as buried cable.
