Daily use
Like any other material, quartz composite does not have any self-cleaning action. Normal soiling such as oil, grease, lime, etc. therefore need
to be removed in all cases to enable the worktop to maintain its beautiful original lustre.
Normal care is the simplest way of keeping Diresco Stone shiny and radiantly beautiful for years. Most commonly-occurring contaminants
can be easily removed by cleaning daily with a damp long-pile microfibre cloth and by using a neutral residue-free clear cleaning product.
We recommend more intensive cleaning for heavier soiling.

Beware of some washing-up liquids, since they leave a "film coating" on the worktop.
Food residues which have hardened after drying off (such as chewing gun, mustard, grease, etc.) need to be scraped off first using a blunt
plastic scraper. Clean and rinse off with clean water after that.
CAUTION!
•
Never use an abrasive cleaner, scouring pad or steel wool, these can damage the polish coating and cause dull patches.

Do not use cleaners containing bleach or ammonia, or with a pH value higher than 10. Accordingly, be careful with some
dishwasher tablets.
•
Some harsh chemicals – such as those in oven cleaners or drain unblockers – can cause permanent damage to the surface.
Trichloroethane, methylene chloride, paint stripper and cleaners with a high alkaline content or pH value must be avoided too.
Do not use any marble flour-based cleaning products.

Do not use any silicone-based care products.
•
Avoid contact with marking or printing inks.
•
Never sit or stand on the worktop, otherwise extreme stresses may occur e.g. at cut-outs and overhanging sections.

Do not use Diresco quartz composite as wall cladding outdoors, swimming pool cladding or other applications in which the
composite slab will be exposed to chemicals, extreme heating, flames or ultraviolet radiation.
Colour and texture variations may occur in all cases due to the natural raw materials used in quartz composite. They have no effect on the
quality and durability of the material.
Given the density of the material (not porous), bacteria and moulds have no chance of developing. Diresco complies with various food-safety
certificates. (NSF, Greenguard Gold, VOC, etc.)
New Velvet finish
The new "Velvet" honed finish will be introduced as from January 2015, as a replacement for the "easy clean" version.
The luxurious appearance of this surface treatment adds aesthetic value plus it guarantees excellent density, depth of colour and significantly
increased maintenance-friendliness.
As a major benefit, we would emphasise that this finish no longer needs any surface protection (Stain-Stop/Protector).
