container and slide the piece with the light upwards. SEE FIG. D.
3.
Press the button at the bottom of the container to open it and rinse any lingering se-
cretions under running water. Soak the container (without the light element), tube and tip
in water (up to 100 °C, no more than 10 minutes) and clean with the supplied brushes and
mild detergent if necessary, then leave to dry. SEE FIG. E.
4.
The container (without the light element), tips and tubes can also be sterilised in bottle
sterilisers.
5.
To start UV sterilisation, insert the parts you want to sterilise into the drawer of the
aspirator and then press button B10. The parts that we can sterilise with UV light are: tips,
container, and tubing.
6.
If you notice that the blue filter at the bottom of the container is covered with secretions,
it needs to be replaced. To do this, turn the white base of the container, located at the
bottom of the container, to the left and then gently pull it towards you. Replace the filter
with a new one (we have an extra 5 pieces of replacement filter in the kit). SEE FIG. F.
7.
To assemble the container after changing the filter, place the white base on the underside
of the container and then turn clockwise. SEE FIG. G.
8.
Make sure all components of the device are completely dry before reassembling or storing
in the aspirator drawer.
9.
Switch off the device during cleaning.
10.
Do not immerse the aspirator under water. Clean it with a clean, damp cloth.
11.
When not in use, the product should be stored in a dry place.
06. PROBLEM SOLVING
1.
Poor or no suction:
● Check that the tip is correctly inserted into the container.
● Check that the device is charged.
● Check that other components, such as the tube, are fitted correctly.
● Check whether the filter at the bottom of the container is contaminated by secretions.
If so, replace the filter.
2.
Irritation and pain in the nasal cavity:
● The aspirator cannot be used if there is a nose bleed, blood clotting disorders or head
injuries.
● Do not insert the tip too deeply into the nasal cavity and do not press the tip too hard
against the inner walls of the nasal cavity.
● Ensure that the suction power setting is not too high.
3.
Difficulty in clearing nasal secretions:
● Ensure that the baby's head is in an upright position when extracting nasal secretions.
● If necessary, spray the inside of the nasal cavity with a saline solution to dilute any
lingering secretions and make suctioning easier.
