BIOS-overzicht
De BIOS beheert de gegevensstroom tussen het besturingssysteem van de computer en de aangesloten apparaten, zoals de harde
schijf, video-adapter, toetsenbord, muis en printer.
Het BIOS-setupprogramma openen
1. Zet uw computer aan of start de computer opnieuw op.
2. Druk op F2 als u het Dell-logo op het scherm ziet om naar het BIOS-setupprogramma te gaan.
U kunt de door de gebruiker definieerbare instellingen wijzigen in het BIOS-setupprogramma.
Timing toetsenreeksen
Het toetsenbord is niet het eerste apparaat dat door het BIOS-setupprogramma wordt geïnitialiseerd. Daarom wordt het
toetsenbord vergrendeld als u te vroeg op een toets drukt. In dergelijke gevallen wordt een foutmelding van het toetsenbord
weergegeven op het scherm en kunt u de computer niet opnieuw opstarten met de toetsencombinatie Ctrl+Alt+Del.
Om te voorkomen dat het toetsenbord vergrendelt, wacht u totdat het toetsenbord helemaal is geïnitialiseerd. Het toetsenbord is
geïnitialiseerd als één van de volgende situaties zich voordoet:
•
De toetsenbordlampjes knipperen.
•
De prompt "F2=Setup" verschijnt tijdens het opstarten in de rechterbovenhoek van het scherm.
