Cleaning and care
WARNING
Always set the control knobs to off position and close the
gas cylinder valve when appliance is not in use.
Make sure the appliance has cooled down.
Only use detergents that are food safe (e.g. no paint sol-
vents or thinner).
Burner
1. Use a narrow bottle brush with a flexible handle (do not
use a wire brush) and brush entire outer surface of the
tube burner to remove food residue and dirt.
2. Clean any blocked port carefully with a wire e.g. a paper
clip.
3. Check the burner for damage, corrosion or enlarged
holes. If any damage is found the burner must be re-
placed.
Appliance interior and exterior
∙ Clean appliance often, preferably after each cookout.
∙ Appliance should be cleaned at least once a year. Insuffi-
cient cleaning leads to rust formation.
∙ Do not mistake brown or black accumulation of grease and
smoke for paint. Interiors of gas grills are not painted at the
factory (and should never be painted). Apply a strong solu-
tion of detergent and water or use an appliance cleaner with
scrub brush on insides of appliance lid and bottom. Rinse
and allow to completely air dry. Do not apply caustic appli-
ance/oven cleaner to painted surfaces.
∙ The outer shell of the appliance may fade over time and
through use. This will not affect performance.
∙ Pizza stone: Continue to heat the oven at maximum tem-
perature for further 10 min. after use to burn food residues.
You can brush them off after cool-down easily.
∙ Do not cool down the hot stone with water.
∙ You might wash the cool pizza stone by hand with a mild de-
tergent and water. Dry the pizza stone before next use. This
can be done in a conventional oven at 60 °C for 2 hours.
∙ Stainless steel surfaces: To maintain your appliance's high
quality appearance, wash with mild detergent and warm
soapy water and wipe dry with a soft cloth after each use.
Use only in direction of brushed finish to avoid damage.
