The device is now configured so that the interfaced computers can
access the Internet.

With volume or time tariffs we recommend selecting "Connec-
tion on demand" so that the Internet connection is automatically
disconnected after the set "idle time". With a permanent con-
nection, high connection costs can otherwise be incurred.

Note also, however, that closing the browser does not necessar-
ily mean disconnection from the Internet. A very large number
of programs send requests to the Internet or receive data from
there without this being clearly recognisable. This is an equiva-
lent request for the device as, for example, the opening of the
browser. If you wish to ensure that there is no active connection
to the Internet, you should switch off the device or disconnect it
from the modem.
