INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Congratulations on your purchase of this high-quality ESYLUX product. To ensure correct device operation, please
read these installation/operating instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place for future reference.
1 • SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: work on the 230 V power system must be carried out by authorised personnel only

with due regard to the applicable installation regulations. Switch off the power supply before
installing the system.
Use this product only as intended (as described in the user instructions). Changes or
modifications to the product or painting it will result in loss of warranty. You should check the
device for damage immediately after unpacking it. If there is any damage, you should not
install the device under any circumstances.
If you suspect that safe operation of the device cannot be guaranteed, you should turn the
device off immediately and make sure that it cannot be operated unintentionally.
2 • DESCRIPTION
IL 110 LED and IL 220 LED are ESYLUX lights with in-built, non-replaceable LED lamps.
AIL 110 LED HF and AIL 220 LED HF are ESYLUX automatic lights with in-built, non-
replaceable LED lamps and an in-built 210° HF motion detector. ESYLUX HF motion detectors
are high frequency detectors which detect changes in movement by means of the Doppler
effect. Depending on the preset light value, they switch the automatic light on for an adjustable
period of time. They can also detect movement behind doors, glass or thin walls. In certain
unfavourable conditions, movement may be detected behind the light, due to reflections. In this
case, we recommend that you mount an optional metal plate between the wall and the light.
The lights can be mounted on the wall or ceiling.
3 • INSTALLATION / ASSEMBLY / CONNECTION
Please observe the following before installing the device:
• Switch off the power supply at the mains before installing the product.
• The light should only be mounted on a stable, flat surface.

Only for lights with a motion detector
• Information concerning the motion detector's range is based on an installation height of
1.80 m. (The field of detection will vary according to this height.) For optimum performance
(i.e. maximum range), position the detector so that people/vehicles move head-on towards
it (fig. 1).
• A clear line of sight to the detector is not necessary as the radio waves can penetrate
small solid objects.
• Metal objects restrict the range.
• To avoid influencing the light sensor, maintain a minimum distance of 1 m in relation to
the connected lighting and do not point light sources directly at the detector.
Screw the light cover to the base plate using the decorative ring. For installation purposes,
release the decorative ring and remove the light cover from the base plate (fig. 2). Drill the
fixing holes and mount the light according to fig. 3. Insert the cable fittings and screw firmly
into place. Insert the cable.
Connect the light according to the circuit diagram (fig. 4).

Mount the light cover.
Only for lights with a motion detector
Install the light cover after inserting the motion detector (section 4).
4 • START-UP AND SETTINGS
After switching the power supply back on, the device will be immediately ready for use.

The adjusting elements in the form of DIP switches are located on the top of the LED plate
(fig. 5).
