5. The kettle is now switched on and the water
will be heated. The kettle will switch of
automatically a few second after the water
has come to the boiling point. The on/off
switch (7) will switch back in the up position
and the indication light will turn off.
6. Remove the kettle from the base station
(2) by it's handle (5) and pour the water out.
7. Remove the plug from the wall outlet
when you finished using the kettle.
NOTE: The kettle is fitted with an overheating
protection. This will switch off the kettle if it
is operated with an insufficient amount of
water. Allow the kettle to cool down for at
least 10 minutes before using it again.
4 Cleaning and
maintenance
4.1 Cleaning / Storage
•
Unplug the appliance and wait for it
to cool down before cleaning and/or
servicing.
•
Do not immerse the appliance or parts in
water or any other liquid.
•
Do not use any acerbic or abrasive
cleaning liquids.
•
Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a
soft, damp wiping cloth. Thoroughly dry
the exterior of the appliance.
•
If the interior of the kettle become
severely discoloured, clean the inside
with a damp cloth and a little washing
soda. After cleaning, rinse the kettle very
thoroughly.
•
Check the appliance and power cord for
any damage on a regular basis.
Descaling
1. Remove the plug from the wall outlet.
When still warm, let the appliance cool
down.
2. The kettle is fitted with a descaling filter
just behind the spout. This filter must be
removed before descaling.
3. Fill the kettle with a vinegar solution to
the max level and bring it to a boil.
4. Leave the kettle with the vinegar solution
for half a day.
5. Empty the kettle from the vinegar
solution and refill it with water. Bring it to
a boil and empty it from the boiled water.
Repeat this process twice.
NOTE: Never use ammonia or other product
to descale the appliance. These can be
harmful to your health. Use solely a vinegar
solution or special descaling agents.
