3 Use
Before first use remove all packing material.
Remove any stickers or labels (if available)
from the appliance. Thoroughly clean the
appliance before first use, as indicated in
the cleaning chapter.
3.1 Before the first use
•
Take the appliance and accessories out
the box. Remove the stickers, protective
foil or plastic.
•
Before using your appliance for the first
time, wipe off all removable parts with a
damp cloth. Never use abrasive product.
3.2 Prepare for first use
•
Before first use, remove possible
manufacturing process residues by
boiling 3 full kettles of water.
NOTE: You can use vinegar or special
descaling agents for the first time.
3.3 Using the appliance
Caution:
Never fill the kettle over the "MAX"
indication. Otherwise the hot
water van spatter out of the kettle.
Be careful not to make contact
with the hot water, this may cause
serious burning wounds.
After a previous operation the lid
of the kettle might be hot.
1. Remove the kettle from the base station
(2) by holding it by the handle (5), press
the lid button (4) to open and fill the
kettle with the required quantity of water
(at least 0,5 Liters and a maximum of 1,7
Liters).
2. After filling up the kettle, close to lid (3)
and place the kettle on the base (2) with
the spout (1) facing away from the user.
3. Place the plug into the wall outlet.
4. Push the on/off (7) downwards switch to
turn (the indication light will turn on) the
kettle on and start boiling the water.
