Do not charge non-recharge-
able batteries in the charger.
This could damage the appli-
ance.
Remove the charging device
power adapter before start-
ing work with the device.
Do not use any extension
cables. The charging device
power adapter may only be
used indoors. Penetration of
water into the electrical appli-
ance increases the risk of elec-
tric shock.

Charging the battery

Charge the battery in a dry
room only. Prior to attaching the
charger, check that the battery's
outer surface is clean and dry.
There is a risk of injury due to
electric shock.
Charge the battery before the first
time of use.
Only use the charger from the pack-
age to charge the battery.
If a fully recharged battery lasts for
considerably shorter operating times,
the battery is used up and needs to
be replaced. Only use an OEM spare
battery available from our Customer
Service.
Always take heed of the applicable
safety instructions as well as the envi-
ronmental protection regulations and
information.
The warranty excludes all defects
caused by improper handling.
Removing/inserting the
battery
1. To remove the battery (11) from
the device, press the release
button (10a) at the end of the
hand grip (9).
2. Open the cover (10) and remove
the battery (11).
3. To insert the battery (11) into the
device, push the battery along
the guides into the device.
4. Close the cover (10) again.

Recharging the battery

Charge the battery (
only the red LED of the charge in-
dicator (
5) is lit (see "Checking
the battery charge status").
1. Place the battery (

2. Connect the charging cable con-
nector (14) with the charging
socket (12) to the underside of
the device.
3. Plug the charger's power adapt-
er (15) into an electrical outlet.
The charge indicator will illumi-
nate on the charging cable con-
nector (14):
Red:
the device is being
charged up
Green: the charging process
has finished.
The recommended charging
time is approx. 3 hours.
4. After charging, first remove the
mains plug of the charging de-
vice (15) from the socket and
then remove the charging cable
connector (14) from the charging
socket (12) of the device.
