BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove all packaging materials.
• Before using your appliance for the first time, wipe the outer surface with a damp cloth. DO NOT IMMERSE
THE GRILL IN WATER.
• Wash the plates and pans in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry them thoroughly.
OPERATION
1. Place the base on a level, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from any edge.
2. Choose the sides you intend to cook on and place the plates onto the base with the chosen side facing up.
• It is important that you place the plate onto the base correctly.
• Each cooking plate has two sides:
3. Plug the appliance in and turn the thermostat knob clockwise to the desired temperature setting.
• The indicator light around the knob will illuminate.
• While the grill is heating up for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This should disappear soon and it is
normal.
• Turn food frequently when cooking.
• Do not pierce the meat, which makes it lose some of its juices and flavour.
• During cooking, any bits of food left behind should be removed immediately to prevent them from
sticking onto the plates.
• Never put frozen food on the plates, the heat shock could damage the plates.
4. Baking pans
• Put the ingredients in the pans. If required, add a little oil or butter.
• The pans can also be used to cook meat, making sure it is sliced thin.
• Put the pans on the baking deck, never place it on the plates during use.
• When you will not use the pans, you can place them on the parking deck.
5. After cooking, switch off the appliance by turning the thermostat knob fully anticlockwise. Wait until the
appliance cools down to room temperature before moving.
• The indicator light around the knob will go out.
6. Use the supplied spatulas to remove food from plates.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down to room temperature
before cleaning.
• Clean the plates and spatulas in hot soapy water. Rinse and dry them
thoroughly.
• Clean the baking pans by hand. Never soak the bamboo handles of the
baking pans in water of any other liquid.
After cleaning the baking pans, always dry them with a towel and let
them dry in the air with the handles on top.
• Clean the outside of the appliance using a damp cloth.
The side with ribbed surface is intended for grilling steaks, hamburgers,
chicken, seafood and vegetables.
The side with smooth surface is ideal for frying bacon, eggs, pancakes,
French toast and toasted sandwiches.
