Removing the accessory tool
CAUTION
Risk of injury by the accessory tool! The accessory tool might be hot or have sharp edges.
▶
Wear protective gloves when changing the accessory tool.
▶
Pull the accessory tool off the tool holder.
Installing/removing friction ring and O-ring
1.Using suitable pliers, remove the worn/damaged friction ring and the O-ring.
2.Seat the new O-ring in the groove in the tool holder.
3.Seat the friction ring in the groove in the tool holder.
4.Make sure that the accessory tool is securely installed in the tool holder.
Fall arrest
WARNING
Risk of injury by falling tool and/or accessory!

Use only the Hilti tool tether recommended for your product.
▶
Prior to each use, always check the attachment point of the tool tether for possible damage.
▶
Do not secure a tool tether to the belt hook. Do not use a belt hook to lift the product.
Comply with the national regulations for working at heights.
As drop arrester for this product, use only a combination of the Hilti retaining strap #2293133 and
the Hilti tool tether #2261970.
▶
Secure the retaining strap to the installation openings for accessories. Check that it holds securely.
▶
Secure one carabiner of the tool tether to the retaining strap and secure the second carabiner to a
load-bearing structure. Check that both carabiners hold securely.
Comply with the operating instructions of the Hilti retaining strap and those of the Hilti tool
tether.

Observe the safety instructions and warnings in this documentation and on the product.
Setting forward or reverse rotation
▶
Set the forward/reverse switch to the desired direction of rotation.
▶
An interlock prevents switching while the motor is running.
▶
The control switch is locked when the forward/reverse switch is in the middle position (switch-on
interlock).

Setting the torque
CAUTION
Risk of injury by damaged workpieces! Screws or workpiece can be damaged if torque is too high.
This presents a risk of injury.
▶
Make sure that screws and workpiece are suitable for the torque produced by the product.
▶
Push the torque selector button repeatedly until the desired torque setting is displayed in the torque
display.
If the product is connected to an intelligent torque module, AT shows in the torque display
and pressing the torque selector button has no effect. Comply with the operating instructions
of the intelligent torque module.
