LED INDICATORS
The LED control indicators for DC input and AC output provide important information on the operating
status of your inverter. Both LEDs work independently from one another. I.e., a failure in the DC input
area has direct impact on the function of the AC output; or a failure in the output area affects the input
function directly.

CONNECTION
For connecting the DC power supply use the original IVT connection wires, which have their own fuse
and are especially made for this inverters. In general the used cable should be as short as possible with
sufficient cross-section. Also ensure good contact to the battery and to the inverter. Too thin or loose
connectors may cause fire due to overheating!
Observe the following steps for connection:
• On-/off switch (Nr. 8) must be set to "Aus" (off).
• A high-current fuse must be installed directly at the battery. If this fuse is missing, there is a risk of
fire in case of short-circuit of the two connection cables (Original IVT connection wire already have
such a fuse installed or enclosed).
• Establish a conductive connection (bridge) between the potential equalization screw (see control and
display element no. 12) and the bodywork of the vehicle.
• First connect both connection cables to the inverter and then to the battery (positive pole = red;
negative pole = black).
The charge of the big capacitors may cause a spark inside the voltage converter when the
i
fuse is connected. This is perfectly harmless.
