• If pH value is too high: Is the number of bubbles per minute perhaps too low?
• If pH value is too low: Is the number of bubbles per minute perhaps too high?
• Is the solenoid valve working?
• Is the pH-electrode fitted correctly in the aquarium?
13.2 Acoustic alarm
The acoustic alarm can be activated in addition to the visual alarm. This is expedient when the
pH-Controller is installed in the base cabinet of the aquarium, for example.
• To activate the acoustic alarm: Press key, LED lights up
• To deactivate the acoustic alarm: Press key again, LED goes off
14 Comfort functions
14.1 Dimming the display
The display and all LEDs can be dimmed to adapt them perfectly to the ambient light conditions:
• Press "Dim display" key and set the desired brightness with "+" and "
• When the keys remain unused for 3 sec., this value will be adopted.
Possible dimming levels: 1-8
14.2 Keypad lock (child-proof safety lock)
The keypad lock prevents unintentional alteration of the programmed settings:
• To activate the keypad lock: Press "Dim display" and "pH" keys simultaneously, "Keypad lock"
LED lights up.

• To deactivate the keypad lock: Press key combination again, LED goes off
Note: If any key is pressed while the keypad lock is active, "SAF" (for SAFE) will appear on the
display. The only available key function is display of the programmed pH setting with the
"pH" key.
15 What if ... Troubleshooting
15.1 Replacing the fuse
If the connected solenoid valve does not open although the LED indicates that the valve is on,
either the solenoid valve or the fuse is defective.
• Checking the fuse: Connect a normal table lamp (max. 40 W) to the socket on the power unit.
Select a sufficiently low setting to ensure that the solenoid valve is switched on. If the lamp
does not light up, the fuse is defective.
• Replacing the fuse: Disconnect the pH-Controller from the power supply. Unscrew fuse holder
and remove defective fuse.

15.2 What will happen in case of a power failure?
In case of a power failure, all programmed settings and functions will be retained in the inter-
nal permanent memory. As soon as the power supply to the pH-Controller is resumed, it will au-
tomatically perform the necessary control actions to restore the pH level in the aquarium to the
set value.
