The following sections describe maintenance work necessary for optimum and fault-free operation. Regular
maintenance prolongs the service life and assures functionality of the appliance over a long period.
Cleaning the pump
1. Remove the pump from the aquarium.
2. Loosen and remove the two lateral fastening screws ① (⌦C).
3. Pull the pump cover ② out of the engine body from the front.
4. Pull the impeller ⑤ out of the engine body (⌦I).
5. Clean all components under running water.
6. Install the pump again in reverse order.
Clearing faults
DANGER! Electrocution!
▶ Before clearing faults, remove the mains plug.
Faults
Pump does not start
Pump does not pump
Pump not pumping sufficiently

Possible cause
No mains voltage
Mains plug is not inserted
Impeller is blocked
Thermal cut-out has activated
Power controller is dirty

Remedy
▶ Check the mains
voltage
▶ Check the supply line
▶ Insert the mains plug in the mains
socket
▶ Clean the pump
1. Remove the mains plug and let
the pump cool down.
2. Insert the mains plug again after
approx. one hour.
▶ Clean the power controller
